CARLOZO & COMPANY, and for that matter, MASTER KEY FINANCIAL SERVICES consist of much more than our professional staff. In that regard, over the years we have developed working relationships with other professionals, both within and outside the CPA profession. We refer to this group as our Professional Alliance Team (PAT). While these professionals have their own separate and distinct businesses, independent of both C&C and MKFS, we never-the-less work with them day-in and day-out and have grown to trust not only their professional opinions, but just as important, their integrity and character, as well. This trust and confidence is critical given the value we place on our client relationships. Whether it is tax planning and research, investment analysis and portfolio structure, insurance and estate planning or IRS representation, we feel our interaction with our PAT helps us provide our clients the very best services possible. Ed Gerner is a 39 year veteran of the insurance industry and is an attorney. He is President of R.K. Tongue Co., is licensed as a Life & Health and Property & Casualty Insurance Broker and as an Insurance Advisor. He holds a Chartered Life Underwriter`s designation and speaks frequently on risk management and insurance to various professional groups, predominantly dentists, optometrists, accountants and attorneys. Ed is currently National Chairman of the State Administrator Advisory Board of the Professional Protector Plan. He is a past Chairman of the Board of Visitors of the University of Maryland Dental School, an Honorary Member of the University of Maryland Dental School`s Alumni Association, an Honorary Member of the Baltimore City Dental Society, a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, a member of the American Institute of Professional Association Group Insurance Administrators, and a member of the Maryland State Bar Association. Ed resides in Lutherville with his wife, Linda. They have two adult children and two grandchildren.

David G. Mueller, CPADavid Mueller is a Certified Public Accountant with over 25 years of tax and accounting services experience. Mr. Mueller also holds a series 6 securities license. Mr. Mueller's work experience includes working in his family's food business, after graduating Cum Laude from Towson University spending five years with a Towson based public accounting firm servicing a diverse spectrum of business clients, six years experience in private industry as vice president of finance of a well known family owned contractor and a national retail franchise and has headed his own firm since 1992. Mr. Mueller has been on both sides of the accounting industry (public and private) and has the experience which most accountants in public practice never obtain, that is the hands on day to day experience of running a business.
